If you have the control panel enabled then these logs can be viewed from within it. There is a section for viewing Apache logs and at the top there is a section for viewing access logs. With the default settings it would be

http://router.inet:82/

Login is "admin" and what ever password you assigned.

The FTP login log can be viewed live on the screen 5 console also by using "alt+F5" and with some "extended" effort/scripting the Apache log could be sent to another console as well.

Hmmmmm, off of the top of my head I can not think of a single source to really do what you are asking. Knowledge of bash/ash shell scripting and all of the various commands is about the only real source for such a thing. However as a starter I can tell you that the first thing you will need is the "utils" package installed so that you can use the "tail" command and then create a script something like this.
:>/boot/bin/access-log
edit /boot/bin/access-log
Code: Select all
#!/bin/sh

/usr/bin/tail -f -n 10 /usr/local/apache/logs/access_log

chmod +x /boot/bin/access-log

The above script will display the last ten lines of the log and it will append any new lines as they appear. Of course this is all on the main console. To direct it to another console you can append this to the end of the command line ">/dev/tty8". Which will send the output to console 8. If you want to run this as a constant output to regain control of the main console then use the above output redirect to console 8 and use the "fork" command at the beginning of the line as well. So the final result would look something like this
Code: Select all
#!/bin/sh

fork /usr/bin/tail -f -n 10 /usr/local/apache/logs/access_log >/dev/tty8

If you want this to start automatically at each boot then you will want to add the "access-log" command into the /rc/rc_user file "$star)" section. But ONLY do that if you use the the second option and the command is used with "fork".

/var/messages = tty3
/var/secure = tty4
/var/infolog = tty5

The /etc/syslog.conf file is what controls the outputs of the system logs and how they are sorted.
