I have corrected the problem, but it will take a week or so to propagate throughout the mirrors. You can install it directly from my site with the following command
Code: Select all
pkg -i  http://lewys-spot.dyndns.org/packages/0.4.x/exim_4.50_phbc50.pkg
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.

Hello,

I was trying to install this package but didn't able to do so. <_<

I have upgraded my router from 0.3.5 to 0.4.0, The router works fine.

I get this trying to instal exim:

The only reason this should happen is because the download is being corrupted during download somehow as the file size is 631138 bytes. So I would reboot the machine and try it again, because I just checked the package on the server and it is fine. If that still does not work then try installing it from the command line without the setup running. The 04x series is a lot more system intensive than the 03x series, so memory can be an issue in some cases.

Thank you for your fast reply.

Is my problem could be because I'm running on a CELLERON machine ?

Thank You

No, the machine type should have no effect on this problem. The biggest thing to understand is that the download size your system is reporting is wrong. The file is exactly 631138 bytes and unless your machine shows that amount of data then it is never going to work. So what is happenning is probably network related. This could be from a major online router issue or it could even be from a bad network card or a bad connection to your ISP that the file download size is wrong. I have double/triple checked my own server for the correct file size and I even installed the package from one of my own machines to be absolutely certain there is no issues from my site. However if there is possible a routing issue then you could try and install the package from anyone of the other package mirrors. You should have a list of mirrors on your machine to see which ones are closest.
Code: Select all
cat  /etc/mirrors.txt
Then just pick one of the other mirrors and use
Code: Select all
pkg  -i  mirror-url/exim_4.50_phbc50.pkg

Hello,

I have checked /etc/mirror.txt file and found that there is only one site -> USA - Oragon.

Checking from available site (Freesco menu) giving me OFFLINE for the other links.

I guess I'll have to find some more links for this package.

Are there more links that I can add manually ?

Thank You.
