Is there anybody who has setup WI-FI Hotspot ? If so is there any step-by-step howto?

I attached a linksys wrt54g and that's the easiest way to do this.

There are many versions of this one.

Some stuff is popular amongst hackers (like the Asus eee pc) and this router is one of them. The BIOS from the linksys wrtg54 series can be changed to others like an open source version. (like <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenWrt)' target='_blank'>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenWrt)</a>

Be aware that the linksys wrt54g is the most popular because it can be seriously modified if you want to go that far. But almost ANY standard wireless router will do the job for creating a wireless hot spot. Although be careful not get one that is N wireless because you will have compatibility problems with a lot of machines.
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.
