QoS with freesco

3rd Party Package Requesting

Postby syscon456 » Sat Jun 25, 2005 12:46 pm

Is it possible to do some QoS for freesco; it doesn't need to be anything sophisticated, just prioritize based on IP address.

For example when asterisk register with my IAX provider I know the IP address, so all call to / from the provider I'm using will be have this IP address, be it FWD or VoipJet etc.
It could be control via some kind of rule or a small shell script with adjust "nice" priority on the script.

Others might have a better ideas.

I realize this is an old topic but I was wondering if there was some sort of package or utility that can do QoS.

Even as the OP mentioned, priority by IP address would be a great addition!

AFAIK QoS is not possible with the 2.0 kernel. Only a (limited) form of bandwidth control (using shaper module), which is an option in in advanced setup in later 03x versions of FREESCO.
